Never seen the reddit algorithm so brazenly trying to trigger an emotional reaction. The amount of American BS when I haven’t clicked on any of that stuff in over 2 months is really really… pathetic. that’s the word for it. Its like a socially inept person trying to bate you into an argument. you almost feel sorry for it.

I know i pitched it yesterday, but I cannot overstate how great it is to just not give a shit. If you dont have to engage then dont. Its not our fight, and your mental health will thank you.

I have just spent the last 5 hours of my work day fixing a problem that was caused by my boss doing the glad-handing ‘everybody’s a mate’ method of billing for overdue accounts. I am so over this. Am I legally allowed to tie a pillowcase over my boss’s head after having inserted a pair of explorers into his mouth? Preferably having loaded the socks with mustard. Or horseradish.

And I do the evil-dragon overdue accounts lady very well, but why should I have to? Such a waste of time.

One pet peeve and one adored thing:

    1. Chia Seeds getting stuck in the sponge.

    2. Alicia by Greenland

This song and clip… Every now and then I just get the sudden urge to watch and listen to it. It’s just so… wistful?

Random Q: how often do gas meter readers generally read?

They’ve been coming weekly to read my meter, and it just seems a little strange that they check so often, especially considering my billing period is monthly (or at least that’s what they said. They actually seem to issue my bills every 26 days, which is an odd frequency but eh)

        Maybe?

I sent them an email to see why it’s being read so frequently. Apparently they’re meant to be read weekly

I saw him walking down the street and checking everybody else’s though, so it doesn’t seem to just be me

You did used to be able to rent a coffin as a place to sleep.

Of course, that was in the times when one of your other sleeping options was “renting about a foot of rope to lean on while you slept standing up”…

No, just empathetic. Its scary and its going to be hard, and its hard to be a systems thinker/student of history etc because the patterns are so clear. And you see them repeating here too. I have been thinking a lot about how to make room for the grief and fear so that I can recharge and get back to making little differences in my little corners. But I have no answers, just remote hugs

No. Not sook, but foresightful. My boy and his wife are getting out asap - certainly by June/July this year. They want to have another child, and wife is (rightfully) afraid for her general and reproductive health in Florida. The clinic she was going to has announced that it’s moving to Seattle. From Florida. So it can continue to provide 1st class health care for women. Which is no longer possible in Florida without breaking state laws.

My boy is also disgusted with the way that politicians and others there have fled into ‘moral’/religious bunkers of hate, fear and repression.

The USA is dividing into have/have not healthcare states. This is truly scary imo.

“I’m sorry, the amount of work exceeds my capabilities. As the public face of this org stretching me too think makes us all look bad, I cant serve the number of clients you have given me and do so in a manor that meets my own quality objectives, let alone the companies.”

Nope. I can’t keep up anymore. I would quit on the spot if I had another contract.

Edit: I would need to work 50ish hours a week to keep up.

Pay no attention to the theatrics, it’s a distraction to the much worse things they are doing.

Trump has shown he has received his shopping lists from Putin and is proceeding with the purge of Putin’s enemies and the enemies of crime ( thankfully only administrative purge, so far )

And Trump has received his payment through money laundering grifts of cyber money releases

I used to blame America in a way for Australia’s problems but now I see we have our own cunts here and they do not copy America, and they have been actively working against the interests of the Australian people since the 1960s. First by destroying unions then by driving manufacturing to China.
