Ghost Tour at the Old Melbourne Gaol. Cheesy yes but such fun. Goes for about an hour so leaves plenty of time for other things like eating & drinking.
Chili con carne on noodles please. With beer.
Interesting. Basically a vertical swale with gravity removing the usual debris. I think that small inputs would largely be wasted, cos you’d need a certain amount of velocity to get the water stream hitting the filters, but could be harvested with a conventional swale. I would also assume that there’s a way to clean the filters but that’s not obvious from the diagram.
There is that.
6 hours sleep and a very large coffee please. A nice added extra would be a baseball bat to clobber my boss who is disgustingly cheerful this morning.
Given the weather, might be worthwhile posting on the the telegraph poles around your house - someone’s new kitten might have gotten lost or a mother cat lost track of all her litter.
And the dreaded slow leak.
Recommend half filling it before freezing, and wrapping it in a towel before hugging. Also can be put in bed to rest feet on which is remarkably cooling.
Appliances Online have run out of cheap(ish) portable air cons. Most economical available now is over $800 … screams in capitalism
To be produced at the kid’s 21st party …
Yep. Once the solstice happens, the plants start to go all yellow at the endy bits. Mine are looking pretty sad but the toms still keep coming. Still got a few still to ripen.
Yass! Nothing compares. I would suggest planting in pretty much pure compost in a barrel or similar. Once it starts to yield though be prepared for asparagus for breakfast lunch and dinner for a few weeks. But so so good.
You don’t. Homegrown strawbs have spoiled me for life. As has homegrown asparagus, tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers and green beans. And quite a lot of other veg that I haven’t grown for a while now. But home strawbs a pretty damn special.
Late to this party. Can I have one of the reserve bento boxes please? No, not those ones. The real ones.
Almost forgot 🧧🐍🧧 Happy New Year!

Nah, Hank was the best. Karen’s is good, but Hank’s is better.
If you like the Carpenters, maybe try The Captain & Tenille of Skyrockets In Flight fame.
Karen had a unique voice. Bearing in mind that all her recordings were pre-autotune, she always hit the exact middle of the note she was singing. No hovering up and down even when doing vibrato. Apparently this is a rare talent when it’s natural.
This is good to hear. I hope the weekend is a chance to refresh & reset.
