Alrighty. Unfortunately Toshiba won’t be going ahead due to police check issue which is a shame, however 2nd place is happy to match my current salary.

All in all, a positive outcome :)

To my horror I left my little foot heater on for the entire time I was at work.

So glad nothing serious happened other than maybe using more power than I should have.

    Should count myself lucky.

Going down memory lane, found old pictures of my dog Ruby. She is a wolfhound x cattle dog. I called her a miniature wolfhound: size of a small cattle dog but wirey and epic moustache-y like a wolfhound. Her nicknames were Rhubarb and then Bow-legged Barb 😂

She’s still alive and very happy afaik, with my ex. Here’s her waking me up one morning for cuddles and brekky.

    Ruby

You know what I love most about Gibson?

When I get yelled at for no reason whatsoever. And there is some real sass behind those meows

TIL that ozito are not cheap chinese crap, but actually rebadged german einhells, which explains why my $99 hammer drill is still blasting arse after fifteen years of heavy abuse

Got the 18v blower, hedge trimmer, cylinder mower and angle grinder. Took photos with the receipt of each at purchase. Returned the cylinder mower with a fault, bunnings replaced it with minimal hassle. The angle grinder has a bit of chatter (disc shake) on it but it’s never been a problem for around the house.

apparently they have a deal with bunnings to make replacements as easy as possible. They’d rather have a few used and abused tools returned and have people think they are great than argue over abuse or misuse.

Interesting. I have a 14-year-old Ozito whipper snipper that still works just fine.

It doesn’t get much use these days because our current place needs something heavier-duty, but I beat the crap out of that thing for a decade and it’s never missed a beat.

the only ozito tool I’ve ever had die was a garden shredder, that was nearly three years after the fact and they immediately refunded me. They do not fuck around

Finally sitting down to relax, long long day. I’m exhausted. I cut up a mango to boost my mood.

    Shout-out to my phone cover!

It’s a bulky thing, and a boring colour. But boy has it saved my phone. I usually drop my phone about once a month because I’m clumsy or whatever. But this morning was the second time in the past week and both drops have been hard ones that would definitely have cracked the screen.

The screen is still good as new. This cover has been protecting my phone for over two years now. I heartily endorse it for anyone who can put up with a cover that makes the phone fatter than it already is.

Thumbs up for this as well.

I also had this case from Spigen, it was fantastic and practically invincible. Lasted me years.

I wish my 2nd reference didn’t have untreated adhd lol

Contingency plans have been made anyways. She’s lovely but could do with a human size stimulant pill to keep her on track lol

    Edit: all done!

Installed Bumble BFF. Got a fair few matches. Last time I tried this I ended up meeting a lot of guys that weren’t there for friendship.

Fingers crossed for 2nd time around!

Was actually thinking of downloading that again last night. I have a friend who met some friends off of there. Run clubs also seem to be popping off right now.

I’ve noticed there are lots of groups for women aged 18-35 where you do activities and meet people but not really any for men. Someone should make one.

It could be worth getting some people from there and hanging out as a group, to spare some awkwardness.

        That’s a good idea.

I think women in general are just better at socialising than men. Well, in my experience anyway.

It’s a real shame. There are great dudes to catch up with, but it’s tough.

Thankfully I have music but there’s some real weird race stuff I’ve experienced in some parts of the scene. A lot of assumptions made before I even open my mouth.

I was going to do stuff and then didn’t. The most I managed was calling the endodontist, trying to line up a lift, and pulling the dishes out of the dishwasher (but not rinsing). Maybe picking a few things off the floor. Spraying the zucchinis.

It’s been really hard to move or do anything. And there may be a power cut tonight -_-

“Ding ding ding, and that is the end of round three here at the Melbourne arena. And we can see TinyBreak is getting his ass kicked here tonight, right Jeff?”

“Thats right Bill, this vs match of TinyBreak v Powershell promised to deliver, but it has not gone well today for the self proclaimed engineer”

“Correct Bill. From sketchy ChatGPT scripts, to issues importing the graph module and the outright failure of some Microsoft scripts using the AzureAD module its a bloody mess out there. Frankly, if you were TinyBreak’s coach you’d be recommending he pull the plug on this fight before taking any more abuse”

      issues importing the graph module

Something about the module having >4096 cmdlets and and being too big to load? I hit this last week, it was most infuriating.

Agreed. If you can’t load it without setting scope, then scope should be a mandatory parameter.
