I’ve been lucky in that the fruit and veg shop I go to near work had a plentiful supply. I like going there anyway because of the freshness and prices, but also because they had the balls and sheer audacity to set up right next door to the Woolies. It’s led to staff from the Woolies going in there, checking prices and going back and marking down lol, it’s really obvious when they do it too.
It’s a lot to process.
I love it when they stare intently. I always wonder what they’re thinking about.
The closest IGA is tiny and expensive, has nice fresh bread rolls, nice meat and that’s about it. Better than it used to be though, the guy who used to own it would have a ciggie while filling the milk fridge and when you opened the fridge door you could smell it 😝 The next nearest one was awesome when it opened, they had a little cafe in there and great fruit, veg and meat, but now changed owners and lots of empty shelves and the cafe bit gone and bakery section shut. The one nearest my work has a little section where you choose things in their display and they cook it for you, as well as exotic bottled drinks and fresh popcorn, and also really good meat at a great price. I love going there.
I agree with the people who are saying things to the effect of, “If it’s not (that) then take a video of yourself doing it and email it to your boss, colleagues, clients, police etc. and see if they agree.” It totally is. He knows it is. But don’t be distracted by it. There’s a lot of stuff that got signed off on today that’s just utterly reprehensible. The more Australia distances itself from this shitshow the better. But when it comes to the rich and powerful there are always politicians who are willing to be a bunch of arse lickers and cosy up. I hope ours keep themselves out of it.
Hi ho, hi ho… almost there. My bus smells like dusty upholstery. Might need a second coffee this morning because I ruined mine, but drank it anyway because I didn’t want to waste it. I always set up Mr P’s cup for later when I make mine, and he takes 2 sugars which I accidentally put in my cup 😝 I don’t take any sugar so it was like a weird candy coffee flavour 😝😝

Got an early start tomorrow, we’re gonna beat the heat (hopefully) and get the pizza bases finished early. Now I’ve got to try and get some sleep in a house where everyone is still up and about 🙉Goodnight everyone! 💤

Reconnected with my oldest sister today in a 4+ hour phone call. Was so good to talk to her! Feeling very happy and sort of grounded right now.
Edit: we haven’t spoken for about 25 years after I “went dark” due to mental health issues and personal problems.
I had a lot of trouble with them in the past before I eventually cancelled my subscription, like delivering the wrong things when I varied the order, missing orders, customer service that was friendly but incompetent, incorrect billing.
