I have been approved for a home! I shall not after all be homeless.

It is in a new estate, so comes with the standard building noises during the day I have become used to, but should not have the regular demolition sounds. There is a dishwasher. There is heating. There is cooling. There is a walk in pantry and double glazing! Now I have to order a dog door insert for Mr Woof, organise the removalists, and figure out what goes where.

I guess this means I’m officially no longer a Melbournian, I am an official Ballaratian. Or is it a Ballaratbag?

And I’m moving just in time for winter. Into the suburb of Winter Valley. ❄️🧊🥶

The garage connected to the house will also be very good for that, less ice scraping from the windshield.

OK, I’m late to this party, but I thought Ballaratbag only applied if you live in Wendouree. Or has that vibe expanded with new settlement/immigration. I last lived there in the late 70s, so my info could well be out of date.

Hurrah! Enjoy the serenity of the Rat. I am well acquainted with some of the new developments around Delacombe (E: specifically winter valley!). Quite affordable for the space and facilities as a rental. Will it be a long commute to all your usual things though?

16 minute commute to work, which is the main reason I leave home. Most everything else will be a similar distance or closer. I will be much closer to cows and forests.

On the unrelated: yep, recent DiDi trip I somehow ended up from Collingwood on the eastern freeway heading east, I live in the west. I was quite drunk but not enough to realise he was going away from the destination.

More good news on the rental front: the agent takes direct deposit rather than insisting on you using an app that stops you from automating the payments unless you pay extra fees.

Tinyest can now say his name. I was surprised cause lets say his name was Tinyest, we often just call him Tiny. But he knows the full thing as well. He some times just says to himself “Mommy, Daddy and Tiny” which is so cute. Sometimes the pet names too.

He can also now say “Come Here” so poor mrs b is getting summoned a LOT. Daddy is mostly just used for playing cars which means forza horizon on the xbox doing jumps.

I just helped out an excitable dog by the name of Sadie, who had gotten outside without authorisation and didn’t know how to get back in. Fortunately her people were home. I now smell slightly of wet dog and have a few paw prints on my jeans.

If the driving part is the only hurdle there I’m happy to bring you out next time I go. Or even just an onsite cabin down Philip island (which I assume is PT accessible) is still a great way to unwind.

    Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri

I think I think about it because it’s like real life in that life doesn’t make sense to us all the time and questions can go unanswered

that’s the thing, why ask questions, what can we do with answers,

are we trying to change the past, bring people back from the dead and do we believe in the Just World Fallacy , what is justice anyway

a lot of people in law pursue justice as an act of caring toward the victim

my take was it was something she could control. the chase for justice was within her power to do. Taking action is often easier than doing nothing.

    The sads

I’m feeling overwhelmed by life and getting emotional about things that are either a no win situation and/or probably don’t matter.

I’m just so tired man. I’ve been struggling against so much for so long with no headway and anything good I try to do seems to be for nothing (or gets punished).

At least I can get this tooth removed this week. Due to cost I’ve decided to be awake during it so wish me luck.

      Hugs homey.

Sligth pep talk - I had my last few teeth pulled (one infected, one broken and an old wisdom) without general. Not all at once. These were 3 separate occasions.

Local shots were more than enough. Jaw was sore for a few days after, but that’s all.

You’re sorting things out one a time. You’ll get to where you need be eventually :)
