Kookaburras are my fave. Such cheeky buggers and they always make me smile.

My fluffy boy is mad at me because I won’t let him go outside to sunbake his paws. Little silly. He wants aaaall the heat.
Nah, if it has to be stupidly hot at least let’s have it dry as a dead dingo’s donger. None of that swampy nonsense.
The forecast’s back up to 40 for today and tomorrow for us northern suburbs types. Which isn’t a big difference from 38 in real terms, but psychologically…
I’ve been to the gym (which is also a large council pool, it was bananas) and I’m hibernating with the cricket for the rest of the weekend.
Stay cool! Remember to eat all the icy poles.
That sounds so fun. I might investigate.
Ooh now I want fancy multi-layered jelly. But I’ll have to buy more crystals.
We have a bit too much sun this week, can we send you some?
Not British, but my late grandfather tinkered in his Melbourne shed and invented a Golf Thing. Some kind of magic device to fix a particular swing issue.
I can hear it rewinding.
Dgelleigh?
I somehow managed to go to yoga with my leggings back to front and didn’t notice until I got home. Whoops.
Now that I’m home I’m going to copy you lot and jump on the jelly train. I haven’t made jelly in yonks. And then kick back with cricket all arvo.

I’m sure there are lots of things you can do with blocks of ice but what I mostly do is ice blocking.
Take your ice block to the top of a hill, pop a bit of hessian on top for grip, sit on it, and slide to the bottom of the hill.
Take some kids to make it less weird, you can even give them a go if you’re feeling generous. Super fun on a warm day.
If you can find someone with a chest freezer then ice is easy peasy.
You can get blocks directly from Bells in Tullamarine, they might deliver too. Or if you call them they might have a stockist somewhere closer. But most places have the Bells cubes.
Eat the stress cupcakes then and enjoy. And then maybe get some sleep.
Sometimes it’s just not meant to be. It doesn’t matter. Write it off and try again another day. Cupcakes should not cause stress.
This is the contented face of a boy who got some salmon for tea.
It looks like the cool change isn’t coming through until morning, like 7am. If your house is hot it could be a good day to check out your local library or see a movie or three.
Keep those fluids up! It’s already 37C here at midday.
