As an introvert, I love hating on things. This brings out the best hater in me.

I tried getting pixel buds replaced about 18 months after purchase. One simply died.

Was given the runaround on the phone for a bit, got fed up and rang my local JB.

Went in and they organised everything in less than 30 minutes.

Called me the next day to come and pick up a new pair. Apparently once Google accepted their return they can issue a replacement from their stock.

Another reason I’m not huge in Apple products.

Google too, but no physical stores to complain to.

They’ll just bill Apple as a replacement and provide ‘evidence’ if asked.

I tried claiming something from Google on warranty, ended up going to JB and they swapped is straight away.

My original purchase was from the Google store.

I had an Alpha or Beta Wheel of Time and a Berserk.

Had about a dozen revised Fork cards (was collecting them for a while).

Had some Antiquities and Arabian Nights cards too.

Okay that’s enough. I can’t go down this road again.

I had a full set (4 of each) of each dual land from revised 😭

Did a tally not long ago (from memory) of how much I could have sold my cards for…it was about 200k-300k

But no, I left them all in Canada and my parents threw them out.

I get leave loading when I take leave, so end up getting a bit more. And I’m moving to another gov dept, so all my entitlements carry over.

Considering I’ve got shit ton of leave, it works in everyone’s favour.

They’re looking at cutting roles regardless. Our programme is coming to an end, so if anyone leaves before their contract ends, they just won’t replace them.

With the announcement last week, there is a bit of a scramble. My vacant role can be canned, meaning someone else won’t be made redundant.

In my team there are three others doing similar work to mine, so my workload can easily be spread amongst them.
