Absolutly. Dont forget to hold yourself to NON of the metrics your apply to your salaried staff. Also make sure your salaried staff know there is no budget for anything whilst you hire a dozen more contractors who deliver nothing.

And justify your own job before you make you redundant. I had to fire me after some pretty serious allegations of sexual harassment against myself.
