Oh joy. Impending major restructuring at my workplace. No redundancies, more like the drive-the-people-remaining-to-breaking-point strategy.

My 11th year may end up being my last, time to dust off the resume and get the hell out of here :| At least I hit my LSL eligibility beforehand… :\

have you taken LSL yet? I’d take it, disappear for a few months then take the redundancy they offer when you get back.

The LSL is banked with the intention of just taking the cash when I leave, on top of the 7 weeks annual leave I’ve also got sitting there.

They’re adamant there will be no redundancies, without coming out and saying it they’re definitely trying for reduction through attrition.

        See what happens I guess.

As @tinybreak infers, they may be trying to get people to leave so that they don’t have to payout redundancies.

If you take your LSL and AL, you can bypass all the issues. When you come back you will either be invaluable to them and be able to get a payrise, or they would have decided to issue redundancies after all and you can cash-in again. It is a gamble though.

Oh noooo. Sorry to hear. Certainly brings up a lot of anxiety. What a shit way to restructure… I agree with taking your LSL as part of your plans. If they’re going to be merciless, so can you
