minus-squareDuenanlinkfedilinkarrow-up5·6 months agoOne of my workmates have enlightened me to some spices that they reckon taste like KFC seasoning. I reckon I’m going to have to buy some and give it a try on some chicken next week if it all works out.
minus-squareBakulinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up3·6 months agoDo share kindly I made little popcorn chicken type things the other night. I put garlic, cayenne pepper, salt, pepper, and that one that smells like BO (names are failing me rn). It was pretty good
minus-squareDuenanlinkfedilinkarrow-up3·6 months agoI haven’t tried it myself so I can’t vouch for it but I will be trying to get some this afternoon after work and I’ll see if it’s any good. I’d hate to disappoint without tasting it first to see if it stacks up though I haven’t had KFC in such a long time.
minus-squareDuenanlinkfedilinkarrow-up2·5 months agoNot sure if I seasoned properly or was meant to do it a different way but it wasn’t as strong as I thought. Also it was a powder like seasoning so I guess got washed away during the cooking process or something. Had a bit of a zing to it, mild and slightly sweet taste, I guess it wasn’t too far off the mark.
minus-squareDuenanlinkfedilinkarrow-up2·5 months agoI couldn’t make it work properly so probably not at the moment till I can figure it out. Maybe it mixing it with crumbing or something would help hold the flavour. I tried to bind it with only egg and it was ok but a total mess and maybe the egg could have over powered the seasoning. This is what I picked up https://oasisonline.com.au/products/kentucky-chicken-spices_pos=1&_sid=e9505b436&_ss=r

How’d it taste?

Worth it though?
