thank Christ. Still, find yourself a good mechanic. Dont take it to mazda for anything they are useless. Also there is a carplay upgrade you can do if its the current gen and doesnt already have it. LOL, wait, you didnt buy it from Hamish did you?
I can say positive things about Korean diesels.
Mazda service charged me 2.5k for a diesel fuel system test that never found a fault. They ultimately found the fault by finally taking my suggestion and plugging in a multi-meter and finding a short. they still charged me the 2.5k. theres a particular word that comes to mind, and it rhymes with runts.
I nearly bought one in 2007. It was between a Mazda 6 and a Pulsar. In the end, I went with the Pulsar because it was $2k cheaper, and all other things about the cars were pretty equal.
My life circumstances changed over the next decade (had a family), and the Pulsar was a bit small for us by the end. I ended up wishing I’d gone with the Mazda.
Corollas are great…but isn’t that a Mazda key?
I’m so fucking dumb lol
It’s a Mazda 6. I got them confused because I was looking at a corolla as well 😑
now patiently waiting for stories where you’re in the carpark, standing in front of a random corolla wondering why nothing’s beeping heh.
Not a diesel is it?!
Nah it’s not. Only 2 previous owners as well which is nice.

Mazda 6 is solid as. Nice and comfy, with enough guts to overtake people that like to do 20 under on the freeway.
Enjoy your ride mate :)
SOME of them are. I have a lot of thoughts about the diesels.
I’m not a huge fan of smallish diesel cars, unless they’re European cars.
Mazdas overall are solid cars, quality and reliability wise.

I would have refused to pay at that point. 2.5k to not find something is ridiculous.

I think you made the right choice.
