I have never ever separated clothes by colours or anything, just throw it all in.
Nothing bad has ever come from that, even throwing new colourful clothes into a wash with old white clothes. Never had colour leech, nothing has ever broke or whatnot.
But it may also have to do with the fact that I wash everything in cold water, not hot 🤷🏼♀️

All I can offer you is that I don’t put StepOne undies in the dryer, they get hung up to dry per the label haha
