Contemplating whether I should contact my gulp real estate agent to ask for the rangehood bulbs to be replace. Or if I should just pay a tradie to do it myself. The latter might be better value as I’m about due for a rent increase…
I’d wait until after the increase then make them work for their damn money. Yeah what a coincidence, the globe blew 15 minutes after you sent the increase through! Wild stuff…
The bulb mounts flush to the housing, there is nowhere to grip in order to turn the bulb, even from the inside of the rangehood. But I was able to get it swapped over with a small suction cup in the end.
Depends what type of globe. Just pop off the plastic cover, take out globe to see see what type of globe it is, buy at Bunnings and put new one in. Same as changing any other globe. If it’s a basic rangehood it will need something like this but of course check before you buy.
I thought I had searched for this particular model and it was strongly indicated they weren’t user replaceable. But I can see now they are just standard GU10 fittings that need a special trick to take out

Undo screws holding plastic covers, unscrew lightbulbs, insert new ones from wooloes, screw covers back on
see below, figured it all out :)

Yeah I thought of that but it’s actually a pain in the butt that it doesn’t work.
And just as you sent this reply I figured out how to take the bloody things out, just needed a suction cup thingy for grip.
What do you mean by grip? If it’s not pulling out then it’s probably a screw in fitting. Turn anticlockwise to remove.

Win!
