I reckon next year I might take a holiday to the land of the kiwi birds. I really wanted to do Japan, but I think it’s a bit exxy for me, and I’m not sure I’m ready to go that far from the homeland yet
Also, apparently a ticket from melbs to Auckland is about the same as a ticket to Perth, which makes sense but also kind of blows my mind for some reason
Not certain yet. I’m not sure about spending all that money to go look at some rocks and ride some trains or whatever people do over there. But I also don’t want to be one of those shrivelled up old people on my deathbed deeply regretting having never left the country
NZ is stunning! Highly recommend going to look at rocks and ride trains over there. I flew into Wellington, caught a train up to Auckland and then drove back to Wellington over a week and a half and was just in constant awe of the country. Did so many typical tourist things and just loved it! I’d never had much interest in going, but have already been back.
However, Japan is also stunning! And fascinating! And like Dumble said, cheaper to be in - food and transport is way less than AU and NZ.

NZ is pretty awesome, you’ll have a great time.
Japan’s probably cheaper once you’re there.
