Ah you’re right chud. We all sound antagonistic sometimes lol
FWIW though, I do blame management, but also wonder what part Wesfarmers has to play in it. Staff cuts seem to be across the board at all of their businesses, at least Coles and Kmart. Even Coles now has 1 person dealing with the cigarette kiosk as well as the register next to it, or if that is closed, they also wear the self checkout assistant hat. I reckon there’s more to it than scummy store management - probably scummy middle and upper management (though I suppose that’s implied)
Absolutely - where I work, they didn’t roster enough people on for the longest time because the zone manager said they were spending too much money on wages. Justifiable because we did make less money in the middle of the year. Yet the store manager spent over $50 on an ergonomic mouse with company money, and they probably all get bonuses.
I don’t think I’ve seen all the registers manned anywhere, no matter how busy it is. A supermarket or Kmart can have people lining up and there will still be lanes closed
Blame the managers lol, one server?? Yeah okay.
It’s a shit experience for a customer, but it’s management’s fault 100%.
I absolutely do lol.
Oh yeah! Sorry my comment came off as a tad antagonistic lol!
I mean, I blame the managers lol! And I didn’t mean to imply you didn’t 😬

Fucking scumbag! Being a manager is just such a power trip for some 🤮
Most people don’t get it if they’ve never worked a customer facing or customer service job 😔
There’s a reason the correct term for the majority of managers (and cops and authos) is “class traitor”
100% I can’t agree more!!!
