How the hell do I get keys off my keyring
Open the ring up a bit with a 5c piece (the one surviving use for these). Or a nail file.

Butter knife
This is the way, don’t do it with your fingernails.
Separate the rings with your thumbnail like you’re splitting a nut. You just gotta get them far enough apart for the key to fit, then it will continue to hold the loops apart as you run it around the coil to pop off the end

If that fails use dynamite.
