Anyone else get recommended this video on Melbourne’s outer suburbs? The guy says all the right things but the vibes are off for me. He interviews a Liberal MP, his other videos seem sussy, and to me he has ‘Liberal Party Member Face’
You and my partner would get along really well 😂 he fkn hates cars and infrastructure that caters to cars, infrastructure that forces everyone to need a car lol
I live in Mernda near Donnybrook and Kalkalo and I hate it. It’s why I ride my bike as much as I can and I want to get a cargo bike to take the kids around.
I’m so lucky I found a job over in Epping so I don’t have a long commute. I can leave by 7 and be home by 4:30. I’ve been meaning to talk to my manager about just taking a half hour lunch break so I could be home by 4 even.
I watched it and couldn’t work out if he had a stance on it. Everything seemed fairly neutral with him letting others give opinions. There was circus music playing over hostile comments though which is a hint
I feel like the Liberals can seem authentic talking about a lack of urban planning because Labour has been in power for ten years. But I don’t know how you could be convinced they’d be any better.
I wonder if they’re trialling funding people to go do extremely locallised video essays on sympathetic subjects? That’s what this guy’s channel seems to be all about.
Labour only got power again in 2022? Liberals were in power from 2013 - 2022… Edit: federally speaking
But agreed! Liberals are the party business owners, millionaires and billionaires, and conservatives vote for. Anyone who hates the working class, anyone who hates LGBTQ and women, anyone who hates the idea of everyone being able to own their own home - those people vote for Liberals. The Liberals are for the upper echelons of society.
I wouldn’t be surprised at all if they were funding Aussie channels to make the Liberals seem like an “everyone” party. I wouldn’t put it past them tbh
Sorry, I meant in the state of Victoria. And you’re right, the classic line I hear about those sorts of people is “What no class analysis does to an MF”.
And they have to lander their image through somewhere. God knows they can’t present normal themselves.

Yeah I did yesterday.
Was recommended that video too.
I ended up watching this one.
Seeing suburbs designed for cars like that makes me want to become an urban planner.

Must be the time for it. We’re all seeing it

The only political party he follows on Instagram is the Victorian Socialists 🤔
That’s reassuring. He has a video on the safe injecting rooms here. Watching that one should be illuminating on his opinions

He’s is so definitely a part of Young Liberals 😂 he has that vibe, that aura. Bleh!
