Yeah this is me too, most of this style of movie I pretty much avoid now. The obvious CG just ruins it.
That’s one of the things I respected about the latest Alien movie, even though there was still CGI they made a big push to use practical effects and physical sets as much as possible, including getting many of the effects crew back from the 1986 original movie, and it really shows.
I can’t watch marvel movies anymore, so much cg I just don’t engage with it. I’d prefer cartoons, eg DC animated.

so hit and miss too. Black panther 2 was visually terrible!
