A blackbird flew in the other week. I caught it before it hurt itself or my stuff and tossed it back outside. Now I swear I keep catching it inside the doorway a little. It sounds kinda bird racist but I can’t tell it apart from other blackbirds, aside from it’s female/brown. I read that patting a birds head is a bit sexy for them, maybe I’ve got a blackbird admirer, she probably only wants me for me bread/cheese crumbs.

      Bird racist! Bird racist!

I reckon I’m doing well if I can identify the breed, let alone individual bird friends.

The head is the safe pat zone. Stay away from the back and wings or the tail lest you end up with a possessive hormonal bird
