    I really do feel that society sells people a lie when it comes to relationships. The first one is that nearly every person is eventually going to find one. The second is that the “right one” is all sunshine and lollipops.

    I think people would have a lot less angst over them if they are told quite truthfully that many us won’t find a great love, and even those that do may find it quite fleeting.

      Relationships are fleeting, that’s precisely why so many will pine for a chance of one. Regardless of the standards we pretend we have.

      I refuse to settle. It’s unfair to myself and especially the other person. I’d rather be single than thinking “I guess this is good enough”.
