I’ve always avoided these sort of things because of the terrifying quantity of packaging a friend showed me was involved in one she tried. Single apples do not need a nest thing and a vac bag!!
I tried them some years ago. Meal was perfectly fine but agree there’s so much packaging, and didn’t really save any kitchen time. I think it’s main benefit would be to take away the mental load of planning meals. Personally if I need convenience I prefer to grab one of those premade meals from supermarket like a youfoodz. They aren’t brilliant but are healthier than takeaway. Gets the job done when no time to cook.
yeah, when I can’t be bothered thinking about what to eat, a bag of salad and a bit of protein (whatever I feel like at the time) takes no time to cook, is cheap and healthy.
not sure- never done either, as I tend to trip chain and just walk through the supermarket each day as I come home from work/the beach/wherever (if I need any food)
just tried Hello Fresh for the first time because a friend sent me free boxes.
It was…fine.
Lots of packaging for stuff I have in my kitchen anyway, and a very simple meal. Taste was quite nice.
edit: also, huge calorie load compared to my normal meals.

You mean you don’t usually cook all your meals with 8 Tablespoons of olive oil?
(seriously, why do all the meal kits insist on cooking with soooo much olive oil!)
Would home delivery from a supermarket or QVM be comparable?
