Ah yes, cause monopolies have never been bad for the customer (looks at supermarkets).
They’re gonna stop me flipping between them all for that sweet 6 months introductory deal, aren’t they?
Ah crap, they’re on to us.
Seems to be the standard circle of life for internet providers here.
I recall being a customer of westnet, iinet, internode and then leaving when TPG bought them all and ruined the things that made them good.
I don’t have fond memories of being with TPG, their support was less than optimal 😕

Well they’re a long, long way off from the market share of the big ISPs. But if you mean specifically in the segment of ‘non-shitty ISPs’, then yeah, I guess there’s some concern there. If all the non-shitty ISPs merge, then there’s no longer anyone there to ‘keep them honest’ and to stop them drifting towards the shittiness of the big ISPs.

That is my worry. I can understand ABB wanting the customer base to increase cash flow and their subsequent investment in the products the provide, but at the cost of customer choice between competing companies has me looking at them side ways.
Hopefully in the long run, this is a net positive.
Good news for my ABB shares, right?
Also didnt Superloop buy Exetel? So now ABB will be Superloop + Exetel + ABB?
Superloop on Exetel acquisition. Makes me wonder if the three will continue to run as separate entities with one owner, or merge under the one umbrella.
Aaand superloop said no?
