I was driven to do it because I got sick of all the shortbread with ginger added masquerading as gingerbread, and also the fact that real gingerbread costs a bomb. A certain local bakery near me charges $5 per gingerbread person. $5! They aren’t even big, they’re getting smaller as well. They aren’t as good as mine anyway, and I bet they’re nowhere near as good as yours.
