Ugh, our admin still hasn’t sent in the prefill information. I’m not surprised, the business manager is an incompetent mess who constantly prioritises the wrong things… If we don’t get ours by the end of the month I’m kicking up a nasty stink. Even if my tax return ends up being $250 I’d much rather have it now please and thanks.
Oh, they probably know. It’d just get shoved to the never ending pile of “I’m gonna”. My expectations of admin are simply on the floor and i don’t have the energy to chase it up until it gets plausibly overdue (they’ll probably say it’s typically ready by the end of July so they have plenty of time)
We’ve had contracts nearly terminated because despite never ending reminders and follow ups they wouldn’t track down fairly standard paperwork required by a certain deadline. Purchase orders sitting around for weeks in the account inbox without anyone knowing that the work had been approved. Crucial equipment not bought because they “forgot”.
The only reason our business manager hasn’t been fired is probably because the company would be in even more of a shambles while trying to find a replacement. It doesn’t help that my boss is incompetent in managing that situation either…

Might not hurt to send an email enquiring about it.
Everyone at your workplace won’t be able to use the pre fill info if they try and do it.
I just sent an email today asking when the pre fill information for our tax returns will be available.
They sorted out the mess within hours and then the ATO flagged it as ready on my pre fill data check.
Might be worth asking?
