I feel like people’s behaviour has got a lot more out of line since the lockdowns. Just me?

Lock down did a real number on people and we barely even acknowledge it anymore.

Theres a psychic wound that was inflicted on a lot of people.

I think it changed a lot of people.

I am the great cornholio! I need tp for my bunghole.

And it isn’t just you, people are just that much more inconsiderate. I blame lockdowns, but also the general state of the world right now - wars, rescinding rights, needless death, no ability to buy a house, pollies are landlords and two faced scum, far right bullshit, climate change… I can understand people reacting with general disrespect when it doesn’t feel like this world will last, and we suffer.

But I also believe in times like these, we have MORE of a duty to be kind to one other, to show compassion and grace. And that is severely lacking within the general population. Their attitudes compound upon the state of the world and just hurt us even more than we already are.

It would be nice to be kind… but I’ve found people are just getting more predatory and boundary stomping to the point I’m forced to be hostile to protect myself. :(

Absolutely, and it’s painful to do because it goes against our personalities and our very nature as human beings. Empathy and compassion is sacrificed for survival.

I have hope kindness and love will prevail, but our suffering in the meantime is wearing on me.
