    TV review.

This is a broader review of a genre.

TV and movies have been setting up the premise of a cast being amateur detectives since forever. This is so they can meet all different kinds of people and get up to all kinds of hijinks, the whodunnit is secondary . Usually the first series or movie seems to have more of the detective work , after that the characters are established and they just do the hijinks. Some examples are The Three Stooges, The Thin Man series of movies, The Monkees, Scooby Doo, ATHF, and most recently Only Murders in the Building.

They are all good fun shows. :)

      Only Murders in the Building.

Absolutely adore this show. The cast, the writing, the twists, the cliffhangers. It’s done so well. The comedic timing of f-bombs is really well done too.

3 eps into S4 and I’m hooked. They seem to have gotten back into form.

S3 was weird, cause the cast was soooooo good, and it was a bit all over the place.

Agree, I love these type of shows. A similar excellent one is White Lotus. It’s a whodunit without the amateur detectives, shows a body in the first episode and then the rest is revealing all the hijinks that led to it.
