My brother had a WRX from 2005 or so. It was a limited edition with a tension bar across the motor, single forged wheels, and some special suspension or something. One of 200 made.
It was a smart move because it was more feral than a regular WRX, but you still had some of the modern car comforts before getting into the stripped back race spec STI.
they have a club spec out at the moment. only 150 available to purchase. Sound exactly like a modern version of this.
Sadly, I think the mrs might veto a racing spec one, which is fair I guess.
