I love fairy lights, I have them out the front and on the terrace, they brighten up the grey city

I use a few 5m rolls of 12v 5050 warm led tape. They’re about $5 a roll on aliexpress. Really add a lot of diffused light to a room. I originally got them for bush doof lighting, but I think doofs have had their time and/or are too expensive.

Sunset in northern Europe (London etc) during their winter solstice is like 4pm. Now that’s depressing for living in a major city, don’t think I could handle that.

Have you considered high dose Vit D and a blue light lamp used at times the sun would be shining? Could be a spot of SAD

Miss Seagoon spent some time living on the Arctic Circle. She kept to a clock timetable, kept busy and enjoyed the auroras.
