So I’m looking to buy more nerd electronics from core, and apparently if you choose their cheapest shipping option (conventional mail), they don’t cover anything lost in transit. That has to be illegal, right? Their cheapest shipping option isn’t even free
Edit: I did some research and I don’t think it is legal. I was mainly unsure about whether it’s okay for them to refuse to cover things lost in transit if they state that upfront prior to purchase, since that is fine if you’re purchasing faulty goods. But companies can’t remove your consumer rights just by adding a disclaimer or making you sign a waiver.
Practically though, if I don’t receive it, it will be a fucking pain trying to get another one sent or my money back. They obviously would fight it, so it’d need to be referred to consumer affairs. But what they say isn’t legally binding and they can’t force the business to even discuss the matter. So then I’d need to go to VCAT. But core is based in NSW, so I don’t know whether VCAT would take the case. I don’t think I could go to NCAT or whatever NSWs version is either since I’m not a citizen of NSW. Plus paying a filing fee to even refer the matter there.

hahaha yeah they can claim that all they like. But if they can’t prove they even sent the bloody thing they’re fucked.
Tried some locals? There’s little bird electronics and pakronics
Little bird is also based in NSW (core is too). Paktronics don’t carry what I’m after. LB or core are pretty much the only options
