    Spiders

This huntsman is also a dumbarse, coming down to ground level where the cat could easily get him. Just like the last one I had to release for his own safety. I’ve caught the current one in a glass just now.

Should I give him another chance and hope he’ll stay out of danger, or put him outside to ensure he doesn’t get punched or eaten?

Get huntsman outside to make huntsbabies, then let the babies in. The survivor will be smart.

This seems like a young one from his size. Yeah I’ll put him out. I don’t want him to meet disaster

I would release outside, just so it doesn’t be dumb again and get within paw-reach lol

This did remind me of a memory though, ::: spoiler small text wall when I was 15 and living with mum, we had four cats (Slim Dusty, Polly Pants-Down, Tigger, and Elvis). Tigger was a terror on the fauna, he was a little psycho leaving bodies of whatever small mammal he could on our back steps, often headless. He had no fear at all. One night mum and I were sitting outside while she has a smoke, and we see Tigger in the lawn, which has grown a bit, playing with the grass. It was very cute… Until we realised when we got closer that there was a massive motherfucker huntsman sort of in the long grass on top of it, and Tigger was just tormenting it. At one point he had this huntsman on his face like a terrifying mask. Mum and I are both arachnophobic, but we both agreed it was cruel. So with a lot of squealing and screaming we used a big Tupperware container and some sticks and corraled the huntsman into the gum tree. Tigger was very unimpressed, mum chain-smoked, and I cried a little. Stupid story, sorry for the text wall, but it makes me laugh now haha :::

        He’s out now!

Yeah despite her age Melbcat is quite a good hunter too. She’s kept inside for her safety and the safety of the wildlife
