Mrs thinks the TV is dying. It keeps playing sound even if its off, sometimes when you turn it on it doesnt wake the soundbar, lots of weird little shit like that.
We got it just as covid got serious so its what, 3 years old? and whilst I’ve never loved the “smart” side of things (Hisense proprietary OS, not android or WebOS) its an OLED so the picture is second to none. We have a real strange love/hate thing going on.
You should be able to get it looked at and fixed/replaced for nothing, 3 years is not long under consumer law, i got my Samsung panel replaced after a longer period than that
It still plays audio even if the soundbar is disconnected. The soundbar almost always wakes if you boot it to tv, but if your boot it to YouTube or HDMI there’s a 50/50 chance the tv will just not wake the soundbar.
Question: Have you tried a cold boot? A lot of those subs don’t actually reboot on a power up/down event, you need to power down, unplug from mains and let the capacitors drain (about 10-20 seconds) to restart them

TV’s haunted.
I’ve got the “moons haunted” meme in my head now.
Ehehe. Precisely what I was going for!

I sort of suspect parts would be the issue. It was an end of life product when we brought it. Suspect I know what Hisense would say.
tbh sounds more like the soundbar is acting up.

ooof yeah, that’s some subprocessor drama.

Yep. We have to turn the PowerPoint off every so often.
