It’s better to be upfront with someone instead of driving yourself up the wall with “what ifs”. If I were in his shoes, I’d want to know what’s bothering you and communicate.

I agree, and yeah occasionally he does. It’s not a daily non-negotiable thing that he does, whereas it sort of is for me. I’ve held back a bit though.
