I freaking hate Debian. I do not like not being the owner of all files nor given easy tools to take ownership of stuff. And I’m spending a lot more time in terminal than I would like.
I understand why me accessing and replacing files in VAR is a bad idea, I get why you might wanna prevent that. But its MY system, if I wanna crash the fucker than thats my right! Not having access to files for apps I install (like plex) is insane.
I deal with the Debian ecosystem (raspbian) regularly at home and while I’ve been doing it for 20+ years, I’m just more comfortable in the RedHat world. So, my laptop/tablet run Fedora. It’s one of the less popular distros for some reason, but it’s so comfy!
