Generally they are much more resistant to any bacteria etc. than we are. It’s important to get it from a decent supplier though, cross contamination etc. are more of a risk than the meat itself.

Yes, dog licks are disgusting. When I first got Mr Woof he was in the habit of trying to lick my face whenever he got a bit excited. After much coaching and my advice that “no one likes a dog that can’t hold his licker” that problem is under control and we are now a lick free household.
