Took the kids to the Tram Museum today. It was a big hit, they just liked climbing up and down the trams. I liked it as someone who didn’t grow up in Melbourne I got to learn a bit more about the history of the trams and the tram network.
I also learnt in a video that Melbourne has the largest tram network in the world at 250km of tramline. Whilst it’s good to have that title, it doesn’t sound like much. We could certainly do more to up those numbers.
It’s on the list of places to visit. The boys always have to stop what they’re doing and point to the sky when they hear a plane.
Morrabbin is only a slightly longer drive from our place than Hawthorn thanks to the highways. I saw another place that is part of the Melbourne Open House weekend so we could easily make a day of going there

Yep, the Hawthorn one. It’s open every second weekend and things just lined up.
I would have thought the 86 was the longest. I’d like to see the comparison once they finally do the extension
