So my boss was interviewing people the other day for the other role at our job. And so we had a new person come in today and she’s nice, found out she lives near me so she offered to give me a ride to and from work which is great.
But I found out that my boss had to let her go (after like 2 1/2 hours of work). I think it’s just because she wasn’t understanding quickly what my boss was explaining. Like I don’t know the exact ins and outs but yeah. Apparently I set the bar high.

Was pretty keen to get a lift to and from work.
2.5 hours?? That seems wildly unreasonable
Yeah, that seems awfully fast to get rid of someone.
Unless they’re completely useless and any longer would be a waste of everyone’s time.
Maybe.
I was completely useless at my first burger flipping job for way more than 2.5hrs (weeks / months really when the pressure was on at lunch slam).
Ended up smashing them badbwoys out in record time soon after.
Sometimes people just need a bit of time and TLC.
You’d be doing well if you can tell that in that shorter time frame though. They coulda been just nervous.
Yeah I’m not too sure why. Again, I don’t know about the ins and outs when it comes to why. But yeah I was pretty shocked.
I mean I imagine it was a trial like what I had. But yeah I was surprised after 2.5hrs. I didn’t pick it up quickly but 🤷🏻🤷🏻🤷🏻
