Moorabbin was once renowned for its springs. I am randomly trying to find where they were. Unfortunately I am surrounded by goddamn car repair shops so guess what fucking comes up when you search “Moorabbin springs” so now I’m digging at hydrogeological data for the entire port phillip bay area to find the aquifers…
nah, that’s one of the soaks, there’s a whole system that runs down the eastern side of warragul down to mordi. Most of the springs were apparently in cheltenham, which is insane to me.
(fun fact: I used to spend the four hour break between tech C and accounting at TAFE whacking the shit out of golf balls at the driving range that used to be where the bypass is now. That whole park area was tip)
