What’s even the point in voting then?

Meanwhile, in the US, they’re trying to criminalize handing out water to people waiting in line to vote.

Enshitification starts at the removal of the sausage, and ends with non-compulsory voting and objectively deterring unwanted voters.

You need to start your stand here. Don’t let them inch you with coping words like ‘it’s only a sausagewhatever’ or ‘… others have it worse so it’s OK’.

The system might be bad, but it can get much worse.

Mine had a half hour long queue because there was only one ECQ official and she wanted to have a chat with everyone. And no sausages! Underwhelming election. I hope the Legalise Cannabis guy gets a few votes. He got my #1.

Mine was running as quickly as it possibly could (nobody stopping to have a chat), but that wasn’t very quick. They had 2 issuing officers for the local ward and 1 absentee ballot issuing officer. It took me about 45 minutes for me, and by the time I left the line was even longer than when I arrived. Just severely understaffed.

Which frustrates me so much. Because I put my expression of interest in to work the election myself, but I never got an offer, even with past experience doing 2 federal elections, 1 state election, and a referendum before.

Sounds like they expected everyone to early or postal vote!
