She was already improving last night and the crying had stopped. But a day after stopping the antibiotic and starting stronger pain relief + ear drops there’s no crying, she’s calm, and her appetite is coming back.
She doesn’t like the ear drops and generously tries to share them with me by shaking her head. But it’s much less traumatic than force feeding her the antibiotics and I know I’m giving her the right care.
The sample the bacteria was identified from was taken right before she got a shot of powerful long acting antibiotics two weeks ago so I’m hoping the uti might have been gone before starting and having to stop the allergenic ones… I’ll still be watching carefully because resistance is no joke.
My house is an absolute tip because I decluttered some areas but ran out of energy to keep tidying. I did collect a bunch of stuff that can go though. Might sort it into leftover Coles bags so I can just ask someone to drop them off at the op shop/food pantry
