I’ve finally had enough and I’m buying a new mattress. The super-duper firm one I’ve had for a while is just making me sore all the time. I have a thin and a quite thick mattress topper on it but it’s still way too firm so it can go bye bye.
The bed on the cruise ship was so soft I actually thought it might be a waterbed when I first laid on it and I slept really well! I think I need to reassess my pillow situation while I’m at it because I was using 3 pillows on the ship but they were the type which were filled with feathers (I think) and sunk a lot. I’ve been using a high-profile latex Dunlopillo for years but I think maybe it’s not right for me anymore.
Anyway, I’m pumped to hopefully not have sore hips/lower back pain every morning.
Edit: anyone bought from and have a referral code for Sleeping Duck? I get $50 off and you get a $50 e-gift card in 100 days.

I had that with a metal spring mattress… It was like a rock. Foam all the way.
Definitely check out new pillows because I’ve found the latex foam pillows flatten over time
