What did you use? I used to see dye pellets for clothes and shoe dyes in the supermarket when I was a kid, but they seemed to go the way of coffee grinders at the end of the coffee aisle.
Rit all-purpose liquid dye, following the instructions for cotton (adding salt), just from Woolies.
Decided fixative is not necessary given they won’t be regularly washed but we’ll see how that goes, lol. Might need to stick with dark socks for a bit.
Official guide here but the rubber parts on mine are black so I didn’t need to tape anything.

Many supermarkets still have black, but you’ll need to Spotlight/Lincraft for other colours.
