Shredding paper in running water - have you considered the risks of eutrophication? And clogging up the pores and lungs of plants/animals/fish? There’s a reason that autumn leaves are filtered out of the Yarra (check out the filtering mesh at Dights Falls). Much better to compost biodegradables.
