The NSW gov seems to place traffic on the SHB at 160k/day.
Yeah, but as I suspected, if you add the tunnel traffic to that crossing:
Weekday traffic on the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Harbour Tunnel is forecast to rise to 300,000 vehicles a day by 2030, up from 250,000 at present. (Source).
So, tunnel traffic doesn’t count.
I see the Narrows every work day. I can look down on it from the floor at work. I run past it or over it just about daily. And I had no idea it was up there with the busiest bridges in the country.
I did a quick search, and according to gov estimates, the WGB is used by 200k+ cars a day.
