    TW nausea, vomiting

Has anyone else ever become nauseous and/or thrown up after paracetamol?

I’m talking only two 500mg Panamax at 11am and two more tablets at 4pm, so pretty sure I didn’t take too much or too close together. It was the second dose that caused problems.

I don’t see any recalls on the tablets but am not taking any more. Still feeling nauseous from yesterday.

I’ve been taking 2 x 500mg panamax every four hours for the past week, and also ibuprofen and antibiotics. I have been experiencing some nausea which probably has been from the latter meds, but also felt it when I was only taking the panamax on an empty stomach. I hope it goes away soon.

Try to drink lots of water and have something to eat :)

I wonder if the lack of a coating on Panamax means it releases faster and is harder on the stomach.

Thanks, you too. I’m rehydrating and having some crackers.

If taken on an empty stomach, yes. That can make me nauseous - same with other types of pills and black tea!

Hmm… I had eaten a tiny bit but nothing substantial. Thanks, it’s a relief to know that it could just be that.

Does it also give you a headache?

Can confirm throwing up can cause headaches! All the straining and contracting muscles.

Can’t comment on paracetamol as I’m not allowed to take it anymore lol

Does ibuprofen help you at all? I find that to be the best pain relief.

Edit: also, yeah ibuprofen can make you feel nauseous too if taken on an empty stomach. If you can’t have a meal, just a couple of slices of bread beforehand helps to keep it down as well :)

That would the throwing up that gave you the headache I’m assuming - otherwise no
