I just learned about monkeytype which is a simple typing test site to test your keyboard kung-fu. My first attempt and Bing tells me I’m a pro… noice. Thanks, years of all-night mIRC when I was a teenager! Back in those days I could type flawlessly without looking at the keyboard OR screen, including ALT codes for ASCII symbols. And my dad told me I was wasting my life… LOOK AT ME NOW, DAD!
My partner got me to do this early on when we were dating. I think he wanted to show off his mad tying skills but little did he know that my claim of “addicted to the internet to the point I have brain worms” wasn’t just me being cute. I definitely schooled him
nice one! i tried to switch from my hacky typing to proper home row touch typing last year, got ok but not great, need to get back into practice as i ended up using a hybrid method for work. monkeytype definitely my favourite of the tutorial sites. give english 10k a spin if you want to stretch
87 WPM for me (timed 30 secs). Though it goes down to 80 WPM when you add just punctuation, then 72 WPM when you add just numbers. Both numbers and punctuation? 64 WPM. Ouch.

I definitely schooled himNice. My typing tends to be fast and innaccurate, and gets worse the longer I go. Short bursts are my specialty.
