There’s always some scam floating around Facebook, because if there was ever a more concentrated group of gullible idiots on the internet it’s Facebook community pages, but what’s the deal with the car detailing one?

Prepay and they never show?

They show up and request payment before work, then do a half-arsed job?

They get your personal details as being a gullible idiot and use it in a future scam?

Grab your car details, location, and when you won’t be home so they can knock it off? Or rob your house?

My money is on it being an easy way to compile a list of brainless idiots who fall for every trick in the book.

Yeah just cast a wide net and hope some people pay without checking if it is legit. Maybe some pity donations?

Everybody’s dead fucking broke and if you have a mini shop vac and an all purpose cleaner you can charge like $100 for 2 of work half assing it because professional detailing cost 3 t 4 times that.

And also making a list of people to steal from.

My brother used to do detailing in his teens before he became a mechanic. I remember all the stories of cunts not wanting to pay ~$150-250 for the job. It takes a few hours for one person to do one vehicle properly. I bet that makes it easier to scam folks on it when they balk at the actual price of the job.
