I found the ginger ninja, came back with the carrier, and saw someone coming out of the house… Spoke to them and it turns out he has an owner!
I asked if it was ok if I took him to the vet for his eyes and they said that they didn’t mind but he was fine. That they knew a vet who had looked at him. I’ve decided to just leave him be and trust that he’s ok. He’s got an owner so they can make those choices for him. I won’t stick my oar in.
It looked like conjunctivitis and the owner said that they allowed the cat to roam and visit everyone, so they seem a lot laxer about cat health than me… I’ve still got concerns but am trying to just step back to take care of myself and my own furry bean.

I am so glad you saw him again and spoke to the owner. Thanks from all the lost cats.
