Melbcat loves cardboard. She doesn’t scratch whole boxes but seems to be more of a horizontal scratcher - if a flat section is left on the ground for her she’ll scratch it up to shreds and then start pulling bits off with her teeth.

Yep! And both cats get in on the action so the confetti pile is substantial.
