I miss sitcoms. The kind that are full of corny jokes and have 20 episodes a season. Seems that era of tv is dead, and it’s sad. Shows like Frasier, Seinfeld, Freinds, Big Bang theory etc. I guess with streaming being the main form of tv now it’s a different market.
There are so many shows nowadays that I feel like I’m numb to all of them. Tried to watch the new season of the Witcher but was just lost most of the time. Same with Citadel.
I agree with you, I think the market has become so saturated with content that producers are either going with cringe reality shows, or period/crime drama for ratings, with not much in between.
I grew up in 70/80s UK and we had the likes of The Good Life, Fawlty Towers, Are You Being Served, Hi-de-Hi and countless others sitcoms. Sure, some of the content from those years wouldn’t pass the respect test these days, but they were part of life at the time.
