They’ve limited the amount of tweets you can view, it’s 600 for those that don’t pay and 6000 for those that do. You also can’t send a tweet if you’ve reached your limit. They also stopped tweets from being able to be shared on outside sources. It’s like they’re trying to kill twitter.
Yeah I think so, the other theory is that Elon bought it for too much and decided to kill it but overestimated people’s level of care in terms of leaving and now they’re really just applying themselves in killing it.

The Fediverse and Threadiverse are united by a common protocol called #ActivityPub, so it’s like you can post to Reddit from your Twitter account. Except it’s better, because nothing is owned exclusively by rich people trying to get richer, or in Space Karen’s case, trying to destroy “the left” 🙄

Bluesky or Mastodon? Both are federated, one’s just a lot harder to get onto.
I’ll probably try Bluesky eventually, I haven’t heard good things about Mastodon.
